Show notes for episode 38 – Homebake
The episode name comes from the lyric for Apartment by Custard. I remember hearing this song at two different Homebakes at least.
Really early footage from the second Homebake
Trailer for Garage Days
Photo notes
- the cast of Garage Days. A film that came too late.
- poster for the first Homebake. Still advertised as a 1995 gig.
- Early performers like Powderfinger, Grinspoon, Def FX and pink dress wearing Regurgitator
- Photo of silverchair’s set from the first Homebake
- Drum media cover of the second Homebake, now in Sydney
- the Domain at Homebake time. The city in the background.
- the first two Homebake CDs. They would go gold.
- Melbourne’s Beat cover of the 1998 Homebake, the only time it went to Melbourne
- The original Sophie Howarth photo that was used for a later poster. Look, no phones!
